Sydney Loschiavo
BA (Hons), MMFT
Associate Therapist

Hi there, I’m Sydney Loschiavo and I am an Associate Therapist at Thrive Counselling.  I hold a Clinical Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg. I am a member of the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Are you feeling disconnected, stuck, or overwhelmed? I would be honoured to work alongside you in creating meaningful change within the acceptance and safety of the therapy room.

I work with adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families. Working from a systemic perspective, I believe we can heal from the ruptures and repairs in relationships, through relationship.  My therapeutic practice incorporates an attachment focused and trauma informed approach.  I can incorporate a brain-body based treatment called Brainspotting, which uses our visual field to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.  This treatment can be effective for folks who are struggling with emotional regulation and physical pain.  I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma, relational distress and grief.

In my free time, I enjoy travelling, being outdoors (camping, hiking, fishing), and playing piano.
