Erinne Roth
BA, MMFT Student
Student Therapist

Hello! My name is Erinne Roth, and I am a student therapist at Thrive Counselling. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and am currently a student in the clinical Master of Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Winnipeg. I am also a student member of the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I use she/her pronouns, live and work on treaty 1Territory land, and am an ally to the LGBTQ2+ community.

Reaching out for therapy or counselling can be difficult; however, it is my pleasure to walk with you as you approach this journey. I love people, community, connection, learning, and teaching. I have always valued listening to people talk about their struggles and triumphs and enjoyed supporting them throughout.

My approach to therapy is person-focused and strength-based with an attachment lens. I endeavour to help people discover the power within themselves to create change as we collaborate. I believe peaceful homes are vibrant and full of authenticity and energy, with room for emotions and disagreement. I strive to help families develop the skills to use authentic communication to work through conflict to create a space where there is room for disagreement and talk about hard things.

I use Narrative Therapy as the envelope for delivering other modalities, techniques and tools such as CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, IFS, and family systems. I have special interests and have worked with people with various neurodiversities and conditions such as ADHD, Autism, fragile X, Bipolar, BPD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and conflict in relationships. For many years I have supported and advocated for folks with physical and cognitive disabilities, and I have worked closely with SLPs, OTs, PTs and other medical professionals. Currently, I work with adult individuals and teens 16 and up.

When I am not studying for my Masters, I love hanging out with my two kids, husband, and three cats. I also enjoy several hobbies, such as fusing dance styles, trampolining, in-line skating, and watching movies.
