Lasha Stordeur
M.Ed Counselling Psych., CCC
Associate Therapist
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) registered with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association. I have a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and a
Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences. In therapy, I practice an integrative approach and draw from a variety of therapeutic frameworks to meet each client’s unique needs. I value meeting clients where they are at and focus on their strengths as assets, while prioritizing empathy, authenticity and safety in therapy.
I have experience working with adults, teens and families from diverse backgrounds with a
variety of presenting issues including, but not limited to: career planning, anxiety, stress
management, depression, relation challenges, blending families, parenting, work-life balance,
eating disorders, parental pressures and burnout. I have specialized experience supporting
university students with career planning and decision-making, where I encourage clients to
reflect on their interests, values and personality to guide their career paths. I am passionate about helping my clients live their best life by offering a non-judgmental, collaborative and supportive therapeutic space where clients move at their own pace in their healing and growth. I believe that when a person comes to therapy, they are looking to make a positive change in their lives, and as a therapist, I am dedicated to helping them pursue the life they desire.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends in nature; hiking, biking, visiting parks and gardening. Spending time outdoors in nature is an absolute must for me, keeping me grounded and at peace. I love animals and have a puppy, who my family loves very much, and who keeps all of us very busy!
