Associate Therapist
Sometimes the biggest hurdle in healing is admitting you need some support to order to achieve new goals, overcome feeling “stuck” and recovering from trauma. I enjoy coming alongside of people to help them become strong, confident, assertive individuals with healthy boundaries in their relationships.
My educational background is as follows; I have an Associate of Arts in Music from Briercrest College and Seminary. A Bachelor of Social Work from University of Regina and a Masters of Social Work emphasis on individuals and families from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am a registered member of the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
I work with adolescents, young adults and adults who struggle with addictions, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self harm behaviour and those who have experienced trauma.
I work from a humanistic, client centred counselling approach. My approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Strengths based perspective and Attachment theory.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my dog, friends and family. I like cycling, Zumba aquafit, Winnipeg Jets and a good bonfire.
