About Sarah
Sarah Reader
BA, B.Ed, MACP, CCC
Associate Therapist
I became a therapist because I genuinely care about people and their well-being. I want to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and understood, and where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. My hope is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, helping you feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with an M.A. in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Education. I provide trauma-informed, client-centred individual therapy for children, youth, and adults. I support clients working through anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, stress, and other challenges that impact well-being.
I believe therapy should be as unique as the person seeking it, which is why I tailor my approach to your needs, goals, and lived experiences. Guided by Carl Rogers’ reminder that “the good life is a process, not a state of being,” I strive to offer a warm, grounded, and collaborative space where you can explore your story at your own pace.
My previous clinical experience allowed me to support clients across the lifespan using mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-informed strategies. My years in education continue to guide my counselling lens, teaching me to attune to diverse needs, build trust, and support emotional and behavioural well-being with compassion and adaptability.
Outside of counselling, I value creativity, connection, and lifelong learning. I enjoy
singing, music, reading, and creative expression through writing, painting, and drawing. I also love playing video games, watching movies, and spending time with my blended family—including my step-kids—and our dog. Continued education and intentional self-care help me stay grounded, present, and competent in my work.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
